Celebrating Mom & A Giveaway!

I would like to do something a little bit different in this post. I want to take this time to honor my mother.  Many of you know that she has had her first book published and I am incredibly proud of her. I remember when she first told me she was taking up writing and little did I know how serious she was about that. That was nearly 10 years ago. It has been a long journey for her with life taking many strange turns along the way. However, over that time I have seen her "hobby" become her passion. Even though she may not be aware, she has also taught me many things through her journey.

What I have learned through her is:

• Even in the face of disappointment to keep pushing if it is what God has called you to do
• That everything will happen in Gods time, just let go and let God
• It is never to late to follow your dreams
• It is OK to aim high
• It's OK to have imaginary friends

Well, her book is now on the shelves of bookstores and her editor is already hounding her for her next manuscript! Talking with mom I can tell how surreal everything still is for her. As a homemaker and mother of 5 she is not used to being in the limelight. She has always been my biggest cheerleader and no matter what ever my dream is for the moment, she has always been there to support me. Well Mom now its your turn. We are all here to cheer you on. Thank you for everything you have taught me, thank you for always being there and thank you for standing by me through many, many trials. I love you and I am so very thankful to have such an incredible woman as my mother. I can't wait to read your next book!
